Noumea Mangrove Discovery

This tour will give you some close encounters with the strange and remarkable flora and fauna of the local mangroves. After your walk around the mangroves, you will drive round to the canon lookout point, where two big canons face the sea and the Mont Dore mountain. The purpose of these canons was to protect Noumea from the east and south-east during WWII. However they were never used in war time. From the canon lookout point you can admire the beautiful view over Noumea’s lagoon and bays.

Tip: Please wear comfortable flat-soled shoes, clothing suited to the weather conditions, a hat, and SPF30+ or higher factor sunscreen and bring bottled water. Insect repellant is also recommended.
