Tenia Island Day Trip
Tenia Island is a protected marine reserve. It is covered with vegetation typical of New Caledonian lagoon islands. The marine wildlife is remarkable: ‘tricots rayés’ (sea snakes), turtles and if you are lucky: dugongs, manta rays and dolphins as well as all the beautiful multicolored fish and coral! You can also observe Pacific puffins and Australian seagulls. Of course it is forbidden to disturb the fish, to collect sand or shells, to hunt or to fish, to leave rubbish or to spoil the place in any way.
There is no drinkable water on the island so do not forget to bring your own water. There is a ‘faré’ (traditional ‘hut’) with tables, benches and deckchairs available.
Free activities: stand up paddle, kayak, snorkelling.
Picnic (sandwich, crisps, fruits) and soft drink (+1 beer per adult) included.
